Message The motor build was 3 years ago, but it is clear what the cause of the failure was, and I have Greg's receipt documenting the mileage.

Basically, I'm getting machining and labor on the longblock for free. It will not be much in parts, I already secured the crankshaft. A couple of rods, a full bearing set, gasket set, and that's about it on my end.

I will actually recoup much more if I can get this longblock sold for a decent amount. I was hoping to get 12k for the car (running), I will get more than that if I get a fair price on the longblock. Plus, I have port matched lower and upper plenums, ported and matched exhaust manifolds pre-tapped for EGT probes, etc. I plan on selling the longblock with the plenums, TB, everything bolted up. Using Z1 as a pricing guide, I'd get more than 7k for this setup.

Take a look at Z1's pocket port and polish job:

Now take a look at PSM's job on my heads:

Not to knock Z1, but their porting looks like shit. Of course, anyone could come back and say "my Z1 motor runs, yours doesn't." That's not really the point I'm trying to make. Z1 charges $6500 for a built longblock, and that doesn't include the ancillary goods. Maybe I should put the motor on Ebay. I was VERY satisfied with the turbo sale, and so was the customer.

I did double check, and there is no torque spec for that oil pump retaining bolt. Should it have been installed with Loctite? Sure. Will the new build have an untouched OEM oil pump? Absolutely.
